TGF March Preview - Day 3 (and FFF)

Friday, February 28, 2014
Welcome to Day 3 of the March Previews and it also happens to coincide with another Farm Fresh Friday! The lovely Marcy is hosting FFF today and her challenge is to use a die cut or a punch on your project.

And so now onto the super cute new Bean in this month's release.
It is UP UP BEAN!!
Isn't she the sweetest ever!

I just love the head scarf and I paper pieced it with my favourite red polka dot paper. I also paper pieced the balloons. The balloon at the front I stamped on vellum then coloured in the reverse side with a copic marker. I wanted to get the balloon see through effect.

For my die cut item I used the lovely fluffy clouds die from Papertrey Ink and diecut the clouds out of white felt.

"Up Up Bean" will be released at The Greeting Farm shop on 1 March 2014. Please check out TGF Blog to see all the other DT's fab creations. Each day we are giving away the preview stamp so make sure you visit the blog and leave comments each day. This stamp set can be yours. Be sure to leave some blog love for all the DTs posts.

TGF MARCH PREVIEWS - Day 2

Thursday, February 27, 2014
Welcome to Day 2 of the TGF March Previews.

Today we are previewing another Dollie which you may have seen before in digi version but now she is in all her glory in rubber! Dollie with a Bow comes with some cute sentiments and the oh so cute little dog image.

I coloured Dollie using the no line technique so she is stamped with Memento - Desert Sand Ink. Then coloured with copic markers and I used prismacolor pencils for some highlights. She was so much fun to colour in, I will be inking her up again very soon!! The patterned paper I used was from Crate Paper 6x6 pad - Farmhouse.

And here is a close up of the coloured image.

"Dollie with a Bow" will be released at The Greeting Farm shop on 1 March 2014. Please check out TGF Blog to see all the other DT's fab creations. TGF - March Preview - Day 1!!

Tuesday, February 25, 2014
Hello everyone and welcome to another TGF Preview - this is Day 1 of the March Previews, with the new stamps being released so that you can snap them all up on 1 March 2014... only a few days to go.

So on Day 1 we are previewing "Dollie with Ice Cream". Now I know some of you will be familiar with this Dollie, however, now she is in rubber which makes her more versatile and also she comes with some great sentiments and the super cute ice cream cone!

For my card I paper pieced the dress, apron and the ice cream cone! That is one of the beauties of having this image as a stamp - you can easily stamp it on scrap patterned paper for easy paper piecing. It's a bit hard to see but I used the Zig wink of stella clear pen on the ice cream then used glossy accents to give it more shine. The patterned paper was from a 6x6 mini deck pad by Cosmo Cricket - Material Girl.

"Dollie with Ice Cream" will be released at The Greeting Farm shop on 1 March 2014. Please check out The Greeting Farm Blog to see all the other DT members fantastic projects. Each day we will be giving away the preview stamp of that day so make sure to visit the TGF blog and leave comments today. This stamp set can be yours! Be sure to leave som blog love at each of the DT's posts for your chance to win.

Another Quilled Card

Thursday, February 20, 2014
I am teaching a quilling class tonight at Create on Ormond - so I thought I would share one of the cards we are doing. We are looking at techniques for different ways to may flowers. I love quilling although it is a bit fiddly and really not the greatest for people with issues with their fingers - my mum struggles because of her arthritis - but it is relaxing.

We are also going to make a malaysian flower as well which is really pretty. I will have to post a photo later on.
Thanks for looking...

FFF - Recycle it!

Friday, February 7, 2014
Hiya everyone - another Friday has flown around so it is time for another
Farm Fresh Friday.

I am hosting this week and the theme is...
 "Recycle It"

We all have so much stuff that we throw out every day, but do you ever look at it and think ... hmmmm ... I could use this on a card. Well now is the time - whether it be old wrapping from a present, acetate from packaging, cardboard, fabric - anything. Have a hunt around and come and play.

For my card I once again inked up a TGF stamp that I had bought a few years ago and had not inked up - Ballerina Anya (retired). I coloured her with copics, and added Wink of Stella Clear pen to her dress and tiara.

For the recycled component I had been given a gift of perfume, and as always it came in beautiful packaging and it was just too nice to throw away. The strip of patterned card is from the packaging along with the small silver charm. Perfect for a card.

Here is a close up of the coloured image. The sparkle does not show up very
well on the dress!

Make sure you check out what all the other DT members have created and pull out
your recycling and join us for FFF.

Have a wonderful weekend.
